Biden pokes fun at Trump’s awarded golf trophies at his own club Amidst bond deadline

President Joe Biden playfully chided his potential 2024 opponent Donald Trump via social media following Trump’s self-congratulatory remarks about securing a pair of amateur golf accolades during his club’s ceremony.

In a recent update on X, the ex-president proudly declared his victory in securing both the club championship and the senior club championship at his own Trump International Golf Club located in West Palm Beach. “I clinched both titles,” he exclaimed. “The club’s skilled members and the challenging nature of the course made the competition thrilling.”

“The preliminary rounds and the match play were extraordinary. A prestigious and sizeable assembly is expected tonight. It’s exhilarating, my gratitude to all,” the former commander-in-chief expressed.

Well done, Donald, posts president Biden

On Monday, President Biden took to social media to share an image of the ex-president’s post, wryly commenting, “Well done, Donald. That’s quite the feat.” This prompted an immediate retort from the ex-president’s camp, with his team swiftly questioning the current president’s physical prowess.

A representative for the ex-president remarked to The Hill, “Joe Biden is envious because his physical endeavors are often a source of embarrassment – be it tumbling from a bicycle, missing golf shots, or simply stumbling publicly.”

The two political adversaries have been exchanging barbs on social media since their respective presidential nominations were confirmed earlier this month. The ex-president frequently posts memes and videos, both authentic and doctored, targeting President Biden on his Instagram.

Last week, President humorously referenced his opponent’s significant difficulties in securing a bond to cover a judgment amounting to nearly half a billion dollars.

During a campaign stop on a multi-state tour, President recounted an encounter with a disheartened individual burdened by debt. “Just recently, this despondent man approached me, pleading, ‘Mr. President, I require your assistance. I’m drowning in debt; I’ve hit rock bottom,’” he shared.

Pausing for effect, President Biden then delivered the punchline to the audience, “I had to tell him, ‘Donald, I’m sorry. There’s nothing I can do for you.’”
