Biden’s Shocking Move: 2024 Easter Sunday Now a National ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’

President Biden has drawn criticism by announcing that this Easter Sunday will now be officially recognized as Transgender Day of Visibility.

The White House faced criticism for banning religious imagery in submissions from children of military families participating in the traditional Egg Roll event. Critics labeled these moves as an “attack on Christianity.” Former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy questioned the timing, wondering how President Biden chose Easter Sunday to coincide with Transgender Day of Visibility. While March 31 is the official Transgender Day of Visibility, Ester Sunday will not fall on that day again for at least the next decade.

In declaring Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility,” President Biden, a devout Catholic, also criticized Republicans. He highlighted the challenges faced by transgender Americans, including proposed laws targeting them and an epidemic of violence against transgender women and girls. The move sparked backlash, with critics expressing strong disapproval. Republican Senate candidate Jim Banks called it an “absolute disgrace,” emphasizing the impact on Christians worldwide. The controversy unfolded ahead of the Easter Egg Roll tradition, a historic event dating back to 1877, set to be held on Monday.

Part of this year’s Easter Egg Roll tradition focuses on “Celebrating our Military Families” and includes submissions of festively designed eggs painted by children of National Guard troops. However, submissions from National Guard families will not be counted if they contain “questionable content”, such as religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements. Children are also prohibited from designing eggs that promote bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual, or that discriminate based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
