In an interview with People Magazine, Valerie opened up about the cancellation of her show. She revealed mixed emotions, stating, “I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that the 14th season of ‘Valerie’s Home Cooking’ will premiere tomorrow at noon on the Food Network, featuring brand-new episodes. The bad news? It’s the final season.” She explained that the network made the decision to cancel the show the previous summer, and she had kept silent about it, hoping for a reversal that never came.

Valerie shared her deep affection for the show, saying, “It’s all business, but I truly adored my job.” She also touched upon her aspirations for her cookbook, “One Day At A Time,” where she aimed to explore themes of forgiveness, joy, and the essence of life.

To announce the end of her show, Valerie posted a heartfelt video on Instagram, thanking her crew and expressing her love for the show. “Creating this show was a dream come true, and every aspect of it filled me with joy,” she said.
